This blog began as a way to share the stories I uncover in my own family research with relatives, distant cousins, and future generations. Over time, it has also become a place to preserve the lives of ordinary people whose stories deserve to be remembered, whether they are part of my family tree or discovered along the way through historical and genealogical research.

My goal is to move beyond names and dates to place people within the social and historical worlds in which they lived, allowing their stories to come alive once more.
